About the event
Is your child struggling in school?
Are they struggling to follow instructions or join in group activities?
Do they get overwhelmed and push other children in class?
Do they come from home from school and explode?
You're not alone. Many children are struggling as school starters this year.
It can be really hard to have reports of your child behaving in these ways. Maybe sometimes late at night you might worry that this means there's something wrong with your child. Maybe you find yourself googling autism symptoms in children? Or ADHD?
With or without a diagnosis, these behaviours are a sign that your child needs more support - and often they might need a different type of support than perhaps their sibling or peers.
If your child is struggling in school then they need support now. And so do you.
This special talk at Fox & Kit by local parent coach and child behaviour expert Madeleine Woolgar will help you understand why the school environment is challenging for your child AND give you the tools to support them in school. The coffee machine will be fired up, and the cake counter full of goodies- come and escape the bedtime routine, enjoy a hot cuppa and slab of something delicious, and learn how to be the parent we all want to be for our precious little ones on their journey into the world of school.
The talk will be followed by a Q&A.
Madeleine and Fox and Kit are delighted to present this talk as a part of Bath's Festival of Wellbeing. At the centre of Madeleine's approach is the knowledge that your child will behave better when they feel better. Her approach prioritises the wellbeing of your child so that they are able to be happier and more relaxed, and thrive in environments such as school.
